Overview
Jianxing Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Taiyuan Yingze Kaiyuan Pharmaceutical Research Institute for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Based on traditional Chinese medical theory, the drug is designed to tonify the liver and kidney and extinguish internal wind, addressing the underlying patterns associated with tremors and rigidity. Clinical studies in China have evaluated its efficacy as both a monotherapy and an adjunct to levodopa, with results suggesting improvements in motor function and a potential reduction in the side effects associated with long-term synthetic dopamine replacement therapy. The granules are administered orally and consist of a proprietary blend of herbal extracts.
