Overview
Jianyao Migu (also known as Jian Yao Mi Gu Pian) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shanghai Hutchison Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of osteoporotic low back pain, particularly in the elderly. The drug is formulated as a tablet and is designed to strengthen the lumbar region and increase bone density. Clinical evaluation has focused on its efficacy both as a monotherapy and as an adjunct to standard osteoporosis treatments, such as alendronate sodium and vitamin D3. As of 2022, the drug was undergoing Phase II clinical trials in China to assess its impact on pain relief and bone metabolism in patients with osteoporosis.
