Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiawei Guomin Jian is a modified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) decoction based on the classic "Guomin Jian" (Allergy Decoction) formula originally developed by TCM master Zhu Liangchun. The base formula typically includes *Mume Fructus* (Wu Mei), *Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus* (Wu Wei Zi), *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gan Cao), and *Saposhnikoviae Radix* (Fang Feng). The "Jiawei" (modified) version is tailored for specific TCM syndromes; in the context of atopic dermatitis, it is often adjusted to address "Heart Fire and Spleen Deficiency" by adding herbs that clear heat and tonify the spleen. It is primarily used for allergic conditions such as atopic dermatitis, urticaria, and allergic rhinitis, acting through immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory pathways, including the stabilization of mast cells and regulation of IgE levels.
