Overview
Jiawei Jinshui Liujun Jian Decoction (FJLD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation primarily used for the treatment of chronic respiratory conditions. It is a modified version of the classical Jinshui Liujun Jian, enriched with additional herbs such as milkvetch root (Astragalus). The decoction typically comprises prepared Rehmannia root, Pinellia ternata rhizome, tangerine peel (chenpi), licorice, Poria cocos, and milkvetch root. Research indicates that FJLD exerts therapeutic effects through the modulation of the TNF-α/NF-κB signaling pathway, regulation of pulmonary water metabolism, and enhancement of immune function. It is frequently studied as a treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and chronic bronchitis, and as an adjunctive therapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) to improve patient quality of life and immune response.
