Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiawei Jisheng Shenqi Tang is a modified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) decoction based on the classic Jisheng Shenqi Tang formula. It is primarily used to treat conditions characterized by Kidney Yang deficiency and fluid accumulation, such as edema and ascites associated with liver cirrhosis. The base formula includes herbs like Rehmannia, Dioscorea, Cornus, Poria, Alisma, Paeonia, Cinnamomum, Aconitum, Achyranthes, and Plantago. The "Jiawei" (modified) version typically incorporates additional herbs to enhance its therapeutic effect on the liver and spleen. In clinical settings, it is often evaluated for its ability to improve liver function, reduce portal hypertension, and alleviate symptoms of cirrhosis when used as an adjuvant therapy.
