Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiawei Simiao Yongan Tang is a modified traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula derived from the classic Simiao Yongan Decoction. The base formula typically consists of four primary herbal ingredients: Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jinyinhua), Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), and Glycyrrhizae Radix (Gancao). The "Jiawei" (modified) version often incorporates additional herbs to enhance therapeutic efficacy for specific conditions. It is primarily used in the treatment of vascular and inflammatory disorders, including thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger's disease), diabetic foot ulcers, and peripheral arterial disease. Pharmacological studies indicate that the formula exerts its effects through multi-target pathways, including the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, protection of vascular endothelial cells, and improvement of microcirculation and blood rheology.
