Overview

Jiawei Yangjing Zhongyu Tang is a modified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula derived from the classic *Yangjing Zhongyu Tang*, originally described in the Qing Dynasty text *Fu Qingzhu Nü Ke*. It is primarily indicated for female infertility, particularly cases associated with kidney-yin deficiency, blood deficiency, or liver-qi stagnation. The formula typically consists of a core group of herbs including *Rehmannia glutinosa* (Shu Di Huang), *Angelica sinensis* (Dang Gui), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Bai Shao), and *Cornus officinalis* (Shan Zhu Yu), with modifications such as the addition of *Cyperus rotundus* (Xiang Fu) or *Bupleurum chinense* (Chai Hu) to regulate Qi and soothe the liver. Pharmacologically, the decoction is thought to modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, improve ovarian blood flow, and enhance endometrial receptivity by regulating reproductive hormone levels and cytokine expression.
