Jiaweimojie is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. It is specifically designed for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea associated with the qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase III clinical trials in China to assess its efficacy and safety compared to placebo. Its therapeutic approach is based on TCM principles of invigorating blood flow and alleviating pain, likely utilizing key ingredients such as Myrrh (Mo Yao) and Dragon's Blood (Xue Jie).
