Overview
Jiayankangtai is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Dongfang Hospital at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It is specifically designed to address the TCM syndrome pattern of Liver Depression, Spleen Deficiency, and Blood Stasis. The prescription aims to modulate the autoimmune response and improve thyroid function in patients with chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis. It is currently being evaluated in randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials to assess its efficacy in reducing thyroid autoantibodies and improving clinical symptoms associated with the disease.
