Jidan Dispersible Tablets is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Jilin Province Qixingshan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The primary active component is pig bile powder (Fel Suis), which is traditionally utilized in Chinese medicine to clear heat, detoxify, and resolve phlegm. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of cough and sputum production associated with respiratory infections, including acute upper respiratory infection, acute tracheobronchitis, acute bronchitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and pneumonia. The drug has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind Phase 3 clinical trial in China (CTR20131871) to assess its efficacy and safety compared to placebo in adults presenting with symptoms of cough, sputum, and wheezing.
