Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jidesheng Antivenom Tablets is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed and manufactured by Nantong Jidesheng Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Jinghua Pharmaceutical Group). It is a well-established remedy in China for the treatment of venomous snake bites and stings from other venomous animals such as scorpions, centipedes, and wasps. The formulation is based on the traditional secret recipe of Ji Desheng, a renowned snake bite specialist. It consists of a complex mixture of herbal ingredients, including *Paris polyphylla* and *Lobelia chinensis*, which are traditionally used to neutralize toxins, reduce local swelling, and alleviate pain. The tablets are unique in their administration, as they are used both orally and topically (by applying a paste made from the tablets to the wound site) to provide systemic and local detoxification.
