Jiedu Granule (also known as Jiedu Recipe or JD Granule) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formulation developed by the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Changhai Hospital, Navy Military Medical University. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Clinical evidence suggests that Jiedu Granule provides survival benefits comparable to sorafenib in patients with advanced HCC, with a more favorable safety profile and lower cost. Its mechanism involves anti-tumor activity and the modulation of inflammatory responses, particularly following procedures like transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). It is typically administered orally in granule form.
