Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiedu Quyu Ziyin Formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction developed for the treatment of primary Sjogren's syndrome (pSS). The formula is designed based on TCM principles to clear heat, detoxify, remove blood stasis, and nourish Yin, addressing the underlying pathogenesis of dryness and immune dysfunction associated with the disease. It is primarily investigated for its ability to improve clinical symptoms (such as oral and ocular dryness), modulate immune-inflammatory indexes (including ESSDAI scores), and alleviate comorbid psychological symptoms like depression (measured by HAMD scores). Clinical trials, such as those sponsored by Huzhou Third People's Hospital, have evaluated its efficacy both as a monotherapy and in combination with conventional agents like hydroxychloroquine and iguratimod.
