Overview
Jiedu Tongluo granules (JDTLG) is a patented traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences for the treatment of post-stroke depression (PSD). It is specifically indicated for PSD patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. The formulation is a complex herbal preparation containing key active compounds such as Ginsenoside Rg1, Ginsenoside Re, Ginsenoside Rb1, and Baicalin. Research indicates that JDTLG exerts antidepressant and neuroprotective effects, potentially through the regulation of the NMDAR/BDNF signaling pathway. It has been studied in randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot clinical trials to evaluate its safety and therapeutic efficacy.
