Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jieduliyanfang (also known as Jiedu Liyan prescription) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the treatment of acute tonsillitis in children. The formula is intended to be used as an adjunctive therapy alongside standard antibiotics or other TCM preparations like Yinqiaosan to improve clinical outcomes, such as reducing fever and throat pain, and to decrease the overall reliance on antibiotics. Its pharmacological action is generally attributed to the synergistic anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of its constituent botanical ingredients, which are traditionally used to clear heat and detoxify the pharyngeal region.
