Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jieji Xuanfei Chuyi Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine specifically for the treatment of COVID-19. It was designed to address the clinical manifestations of the Omicron variant during outbreaks in Jilin Province, China. The formulation is based on the principles of TCM to "relieve the muscle layer" (Jieji), "ventilate the lungs" (Xuanfei), and "eliminate the epidemic" (Chuyi). It is primarily indicated for patients with mild to moderate COVID-19, helping to alleviate symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, and fatigue. The drug was granted emergency approval as a hospital-made preparation (院内制剂) by the Jilin Provincial Medical Products Administration to support pandemic control efforts.
