Jieyu Capsule

Jieyu Capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) developed by Sanjiu Medical & Pharmaceutical (999 Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of mild to moderate depression. It is a standardized herbal combination product primarily composed of extracts from *Hypericum perforatum* (St. John's Wort) and *Eleutherococcus senticosus* (Siberian Ginseng). The therapeutic efficacy is largely attributed to the *Hypericum* component, which contains active compounds such as hyperforin and hypericin; these compounds act as non-selective inhibitors of the reuptake of monoamine neurotransmitters, including serotonin (5-HT), norepinephrine (NE), and dopamine (DA).
