Jieyu No. 2 Formula

Jieyu No. 2 Formula, also known as Mood-Uplift #2 Formula or Jie Yu Fang (CM161), is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine. It is formulated as a combination of multiple herbs, including Astragalus membranaceus, Angelica polymorpha, Paeonia lactiflora, Curcuma longa, Pseudostellaria heterophylla, Pinellia ternata, Cyperus rotundus, Bupleurum falcatum, Phyllostachys nigra, Citrus reticulata, Anemone altaica, and Polygala sibirica. The formula is designed to nourish the Heart and calm the Spirit, soothe the Liver and relieve constraint, resolve Phlegm, and clear the mind, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. It has been indicated for general wellbeing and various gynecological conditions such as irregular or infrequent periods, dark menstrual flow with clots, dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, luteal phase deficiency, infertility, and irregular ovulation. The product was manufactured under Australian and Chinese Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards but has since been discontinued. [2, 3, 4]
