Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jieyu Pinggan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal prescription (also referred to as JieYuPing square) developed by researchers at the Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of hypertension combined with anxiety, particularly in elderly patients. The formulation is based on the TCM principle of "relieving depression and calming the liver" to address the underlying pathology of liver-yang hyperactivity and emotional stagnation. Clinical studies, including trial ChiCTR2000037162, have evaluated its therapeutic efficacy by monitoring its impact on blood pressure, anxiety scores, and biochemical markers such as Angiotensin II (Ang II) levels.
