Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jin Youli (Jinyouli) is a long-acting pegylated recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (PEG-rhG-CSF) developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. It is a biologic agent produced by the covalent conjugation of a 20 kDa polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecule to the N-terminal methionyl residue of recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF). This pegylation modification increases the protein's molecular weight and hydrodynamic radius, significantly extending its plasma half-life by reducing renal clearance. This allows for a single subcutaneous injection per chemotherapy cycle, compared to the daily injections required for standard rhG-CSF. Jin Youli acts as an agonist for the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSFR) on hematopoietic progenitor cells and mature neutrophils, stimulating their proliferation, differentiation, and functional activation. It is approved in China for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia and is being evaluated in clinical trials, including those led by the Chinese PLA General Hospital, for secondary prevention in specific cancer populations such as advanced pancreatic cancer.
