Overview
Jinadankang (GenSci-058) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), developed by Changchun GeneScience Pharmaceutical (GenSci). As a potent IL-1β antagonist, it neutralizes the activity of this key pro-inflammatory cytokine, which plays a central role in the pathogenesis of various autoinflammatory diseases. The drug is primarily being developed for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis, particularly in patients who have an inadequate response or intolerance to standard-of-care treatments such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and colchicine. Jinadankang is currently in Phase III clinical trials in China for acute gout and has also been investigated in Phase II trials for cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes (CAPS).
