Overview
Jincao is a Class 1.1 innovative botanical drug (Traditional Chinese Medicine) developed by Beijing Konruns Pharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic pelvic pain (CPP) secondary to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). It is an extract derived from *Herba Lysimachiae* (Jin Qian Cao). The drug is designed to address the inflammatory and nociceptive components of chronic pelvic pain, providing a non-antibiotic and non-hormonal therapeutic option for long-term management. Jincao has demonstrated anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties in preclinical and early clinical studies. As of 2024, it is in Phase III clinical development in China, with trials evaluating its efficacy in reducing pain scores and improving quality of life in women with PID-related chronic pain.
