Jinchai Kanggan Capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Wuhan Pharmaceutical Valley Technology Development Co., Ltd. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of the common cold and upper respiratory tract infections, particularly those characterized by 'wind-heat' symptoms in TCM theory. The formulation is a multi-ingredient herbal extract typically containing *Lonicera japonica* (Jin Yin Hua), *Bupleurum chinense* (Chai Hu), *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huang Qin), and *Forsythia suspensa* (Lian Qiao). These components are traditionally recognized for their ability to clear heat, detoxify, and resolve the exterior. Pharmacologically, the capsule exhibits antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, helping to alleviate clinical symptoms such as fever, headache, cough, and sore throat. It is approved as a Chinese patent medicine (Zhongcheng Yao) in China.
