Overview
Jinfukang Koufuye (also known as Jinfukang or JFK) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oral liquid formulation approved by the China Food and Drug Administration in 1996 for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Originally developed at Shanghai Longhua Hospital, the drug is a complex herbal mixture consisting of 12 Chinese herbal medicines. It is primarily used as an adjuvant therapy in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy to enhance immune function, prevent metastasis, stabilize tumor lesions, and prolong survival in lung cancer patients. Preclinical and clinical studies have demonstrated its anti-tumor effects and its ability to improve response rates when combined with standard chemotherapy. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials to assess its efficacy in preventing relapse and metastasis in patients with stage IB-IIB NSCLC following complete surgical resection.
