Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JinFuNing is a topical gel formulation of recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF), specifically molgramostim. It is designed to accelerate the healing of acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, burns, and pressure sores. The drug functions as a multifunctional cytokine that binds to the GM-CSF receptor on various immune and stromal cells, such as macrophages, neutrophils, and endothelial cells. This binding stimulates the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of these cells, which in turn enhances the local inflammatory response, promotes neovascularization, and facilitates the formation of granulation tissue and re-epithelialization. In China, JinFuNing is a marketed product for general wound management and is currently being evaluated in clinical trials by institutions like Peking University Third Hospital for its specific efficacy during the granulation growth phase of diabetic wounds.
