Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jing Tong Ping capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed by Beijing Rongzhiyuan Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. It is specifically formulated for patients exhibiting the 'cold coagulation and blood stasis' pattern, a TCM diagnostic category where menstrual pain is attributed to internal cold and poor blood flow. The treatment aims to warm the meridians, dispel cold, and promote blood circulation to resolve stasis and alleviate pain. The drug has been evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial in China (CTR20150153), which was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study assessing its efficacy and safety in this patient population.
