Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jing-Yin Granule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily for its anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. It has been recommended in China for the treatment of respiratory viral infections such as H1N1 influenza A and COVID-19. The formulation consists of multiple herbs with active components including arctigenin, quercetin, luteolin, kaempferol, rutin, gallic acid, and chlorogenic acid. Mechanistic studies suggest that it acts on several molecular targets involved in inflammation and immune response—such as STAT3, JUN, RELA (NF-κB), MAPK3/ERK1/2, TNF (tumor necrosis factor), MAPK1/ERK2, IL-6 (interleukin 6), and AKT1—modulating pathways like JAK2/STAT3 signaling and PI3K/Akt to reduce pulmonary fibrosis progression. Clinical studies indicate that it can improve outcomes in mild COVID-19 by increasing viral RNA negative conversion rates and shortening hospital stays without significant adverse effects[2][7][9].
