Overview
Jinghua Weikang Jiaowan is a traditional Chinese medicine formulation used primarily for gastrointestinal disorders. It contains the herbal ingredients Schizonepeta tenuifolia (土荆芥) and Inula britannica (水团花). The product is indicated for symptoms such as epigastric distension and pain, belching, acid regurgitation, gastric discomfort, and bitter taste in the mouth caused by a combination of cold and heat syndromes with qi stagnation and blood stasis. Pharmacological studies indicate that it can inhibit Helicobacter pylori growth, reduce gastric acid secretion, suppress pepsin activity, protect the gastric mucosa, promote ulcer healing, relieve pain through promoting blood circulation and removing stasis, disperse cold to regulate qi flow in the stomach and intestines. It is commonly used for gastritis or peptic ulcer patients presenting with these traditional symptom patterns[1][2][4][5].
