Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jingmen Shangqing Pill is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Hubei Qijin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU) and other conditions associated with upper burner heat in TCM theory, such as sore throat, gingivitis, and toothache. The formulation consists of a complex blend of herbal ingredients, including Schizonepeta, Saposhnikovia, Forsythia, and Rhubarb, which provide anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and heat-clearing properties. By modulating inflammatory mediators and promoting mucosal healing, it effectively reduces the pain and duration of oral ulcers. It is typically administered orally in pill form and is available as an over-the-counter medication in China.
