Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jingnaoning Wan (Jingnao Ning Pills) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM) in collaboration with Chengji (Zhuhai Hengqin) Pharmaceutical Technology. It is designed for the oral treatment of vertebral artery-type cervical spondylosis (CSA), a condition where cervical spine degeneration leads to insufficient blood flow through the vertebral arteries. Currently in the preclinical stage of development, the drug is part of the Shanghai TCM Science and Technology Innovation Project. It is intended to alleviate clinical symptoms such as dizziness, neck pain, and vascular insufficiency, likely through mechanisms involving the improvement of local blood circulation and the reduction of inflammation, although specific molecular targets for the complex herbal mixture have not been fully characterized in standard pharmacological terms.
