Overview
Jingtian granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD). It is specifically indicated for patients in CKD stages 3 to 5 who are not undergoing dialysis. The granule is currently being evaluated in a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial in China to assess its efficacy and safety, with primary endpoints focused on changes in serum creatinine and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) over a 24-week period. As a TCM preparation, it likely functions through a combination of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-fibrotic mechanisms to protect renal tissue and slow the decline of kidney function.
