Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jingui external lotion is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical preparation developed by the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Formulated based on the 'Tongluo Qubi' (meridian-unblocking and arthralgia-relieving) therapeutic principle, the lotion is used as an external wash or soak. It is intended to improve local blood circulation, specifically targeting subchondral bone micro-perfusion, and to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with degenerative joint disease. Clinical research has investigated its efficacy in improving joint function and microcirculation in patients with knee osteoarthritis, often comparing it against simulation prescriptions in randomized controlled trials.
