Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jingwanhong Ointment is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical formulation developed and manufactured by Tianjin Darentang Jingwanhong Pharmaceutical. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of burns, scalds, and various types of wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers and bedsores. The ointment contains menthol (1%) as an active ingredient alongside a complex blend of approximately 30 Chinese herbs, such as Angelica sinensis (Dong-quai) root, mastic resin, myrrh oleo-gum resin, quince fruit, safflower flower, and sanguisorba. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to TCM principles of activating blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis, clearing heat, and detoxifying to reduce swelling. It is an approved product in China and is widely used for skin tissue repair and pain relief in wound management.
