Overview

Jingwei Fucha is a traditional fermented dark tea (Fuzhuan tea) originating from Shaanxi Province, China, characterized by the presence of the probiotic fungus *Eurotium cristatum*, commonly known as Golden Flowers. Developed as a functional beverage with therapeutic potential, research conducted by institutions such as Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital has focused on its application in cardiovascular health, particularly for coronary heart disease and metabolic syndrome. The tea contains a complex profile of bioactive compounds, including theabrownins, tea polyphenols, and polysaccharides, which work synergistically to modulate gut microbiota, improve lipid metabolism, and exert potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Clinical studies suggest that regular consumption may improve vascular endothelial function and reduce oxidative stress markers in patients with coronary artery disease.
