Overview

Jinkui mallow extract is a botanical extract derived from the Tibetan medicinal plant Jinkui (often identified as *Malva verticillata* or cluster mallow). It is currently being developed and evaluated by the People's Hospital of Tibet Autonomous Region as a therapeutic component of a nasal spray for inflammatory nasal mucosal diseases. The extract is intended to treat allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis by reducing nasal mucosal inflammation and modulating the expression of inflammatory cytokines. In clinical trials, it is administered intranasally as an adjunct to standard-of-care therapies to improve nasal symptoms and endoscopic findings.
