Overview
Jinsang Liyan Capsule is a proprietary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation manufactured by Grand Pharma Group, primarily indicated for the treatment of throat disorders such as chronic pharyngitis and laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD). According to TCM principles, the formulation is designed to address throat diseases caused by liver depression and phlegm obstruction. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 4 clinical trial (NCT05879029) sponsored by Tongji Hospital to assess its efficacy as an adjunctive therapy when combined with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), specifically rabeprazole, for patients with LPRD. The treatment aims to alleviate symptoms such as pharyngeal foreign body sensation (globus), frequent throat clearing, and hoarseness by targeting the inflammatory and sensory components of the laryngopharyngeal mucosa.
