Overview

Jintiange (Jin Tian Ge) is a traditional Chinese medicine product developed as a substitute for tiger bone (tiger bone powder), which was historically used in China for its purported benefits on bone health. Due to conservation concerns and legal bans on the use of tiger products, Jintiange was formulated using bionic tiger bone powder derived from the bones of farmed edible animals such as pigs, goats, and deer. The capsule contains bioactive peptides, proteins, amino acids, and minerals similar to those found in natural tiger bone. It is approved by the Chinese Food and Drug Administration for clinical use primarily in osteoporosis therapy but has also been studied for other metabolic bone diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Mechanistically, it appears to modulate osteoblastogenesis (bone formation) and osteoclastogenesis (bone resorption), thereby improving bone microstructure and biomechanical properties. Clinical studies have shown efficacy in reducing pain scores (VAS), improving functional outcomes (ODI), alleviating musculoskeletal symptoms associated with aromatase inhibitors, and treating osteoporosis[1][2][3][4].
