Jishuanghua Formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical preparation developed by Sichuan Cancer Hospital, specifically designed for the prevention and treatment of acute radiation esophagitis (ARE) in patients undergoing radiotherapy for esophageal cancer. The formula is typically administered intravenously in clinical trial settings, often in combination with dextrose, to mitigate the inflammatory response and mucosal damage induced by ionizing radiation.
