Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiuwei Qianghuo Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Chengdu Yongkon Pharmacy (a subsidiary of Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical). It is formulated as granules and is indicated for the treatment of the common cold caused by wind-cold with dampness, presenting with symptoms such as aversion to cold, fever, lack of sweating, heavy head, headache, and limb soreness. The formulation is composed of nine traditional Chinese herbs: Qianghuo (Notopterygium incisum), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia divaricate), Cangzhu (Atractylodes lancea), Xixin (Asarum sieboldii), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum chuanxiong), Baizhi (Angelica dahurica), Shengdi (Rehmannia glutinosa), Huangqin (Scutellaria baicalensis), and Gancao (Glycyrrhiza uralensis). It functions by releasing the exterior, dispersing cold, expelling wind, and removing dampness.
