Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jiuwei Xifeng Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical for the treatment of pediatric tic disorders, including Tourette syndrome and chronic motor or vocal tic disorders. The formulation is designed to address the TCM patterns of kidney yin deficiency and internal stirring of liver wind. A specific variant of the granules has been studied where dragon bone (Os Draconis) is replaced with oyster shell (Concha Ostreae) to evaluate efficacy and safety in children with mild-to-moderate tic disorders. Clinical trials have also explored its use in related conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
