Overview
JIXINFEN (吉新芬) is a long-acting recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) modified with polyethylene glycol (PEG), commonly known as pegfilgrastim. Developed by Hangzhou Jiuyuan Gene Engineering, it is indicated for the treatment and prevention of neutropenia in patients receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy. By binding to the G-CSF receptor, it stimulates the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of neutrophil precursors and enhances the functions of mature neutrophils. The pegylation extends the drug's half-life compared to non-modified filgrastim, allowing for less frequent dosing. It is approved and marketed in China.
