Jiyin Jiedu decoction granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Guang’anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of heart failure with diuretic resistance. The decoction is administered as granules in combination with standard heart failure therapies. Its therapeutic focus is on improving sodium and water excretion and enhancing cardiorenal function in patients who have become unresponsive to conventional diuretics. In the context of TCM theory, the formula is designed to nourish yin (Jiyin) and resolve toxins (Jiedu), addressing the complex pathology of refractory heart failure and edema.
