Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JKN2304 is an investigational, highly selective long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) developed by Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd. for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Administered as an inhalation solution via a nebulizer, JKN2304 functions by binding to and antagonizing the muscarinic M3 receptors located on airway smooth muscle cells. This action prevents the binding of acetylcholine, leading to prolonged bronchodilation and improvement in lung function. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials to assess its safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics compared to placebo and active controls like formoterol.
