JKN24011

JKN24011 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα), currently under development by Joincare Pharmaceutical Group. By specifically binding to the IL-4Rα subunit, JKN24011 inhibits the bioactivity of both interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are critical cytokines in the Type 2 (Th2) inflammatory pathway. This mechanism is designed to reduce airway inflammation and mucus hypersecretion in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), particularly those with an eosinophilic phenotype. The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection and is being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in patients with moderate to severe COPD who are already on stable maintenance therapy.
