JKN2403

JKN2403 is an investigational small molecule prolyl endopeptidase (PREP) inhibitor being developed by Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd. for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). PREP is an enzyme involved in the degradation of proline-containing peptides and has been linked to the generation of the chemoattractant proline-glycine-proline (PGP), which contributes to neutrophilic inflammation in the lungs. By inhibiting PREP, JKN2403 aims to reduce lung inflammation and alleviate symptoms in patients with moderate-to-severe COPD. The drug is formulated as an oral tablet and is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profile.
