Overview

JL14001 is a recombinant erythropoietin (EPO) cytokine developed by Jecho Laboratories. It functions as an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) by binding to and activating the erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) on erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow. This activation stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of these progenitors into mature red blood cells, thereby increasing hemoglobin levels. JL14001 is being developed for the treatment of anemia and is undergoing clinical evaluation to determine its pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles, including dose conversion relationships with existing short-acting (e.g., EPIAO) and long-acting (e.g., Nicebo) EPO products. It has reached Phase 3 clinical development.
