**JL18008** is a long-acting fusion protein developed by Jecho Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., consisting of interleukin-7 (IL-7) fused to human serum albumin (HSA) to extend its half-life. It targets immune cell imbalances, particularly in HIV-infected patients with poor immunological reconstitution (non-responders), by enhancing CD4+ T-cell proliferation and immune function, thereby improving immunity, slowing disease progression, and reducing dosing frequency for better patient compliance. The drug has received investigational new drug (IND) approvals from both the NMPA in China and the FDA in the United States, with an ongoing Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluating its pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety, and immunogenicity via intramuscular injection.
