Overview
JL19001 is a long-acting recombinant interleukin-15 (IL-15) biologic being developed by Jecho Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). IL-15 is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays a critical role in the development, survival, and activation of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ effector T cells, which are essential for anti-tumor immunity. By utilizing a long-acting formulation, JL19001 aims to provide sustained immune activation within the tumor microenvironment while potentially reducing the frequency of administration. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials as a monotherapy and in combination with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) for patients with high-risk NMIBC.
