JLM001 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Jecho Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of pulmonary and respiratory infections, specifically those caused by *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. The antibody is designed to target the PcrV protein, which is a key component of the *P. aeruginosa* Type III secretion system (T3SS). By binding to and neutralizing PcrV, JLM001 prevents the translocation of cytotoxic effector proteins into host cells, thereby reducing tissue damage and facilitating the clearance of the bacteria by the host immune system. This therapeutic approach is primarily intended for patients with hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) or ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), where antibiotic resistance is a significant concern.
