JLM004

JLM004 is a recombinant human surfactant protein D (rhSP-D) candidate developed by Jecho Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of paranoid mental disorders and other mental health conditions. Surfactant protein D is a member of the collectin family of innate immune proteins that plays a critical role in modulating inflammatory responses and facilitating the clearance of pathogens and apoptotic cells. While traditionally associated with pulmonary host defense, Jecho is investigating JLM004 for psychiatric indications based on the hypothesis that immune dysregulation and neuroinflammation contribute to the pathogenesis of paranoia. By interacting with immune cell receptors such as signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRP-alpha) and calreticulin, JLM004 is intended to restore immune homeostasis and alleviate psychiatric symptoms. The drug is currently in the early stages of development.
